How does a septic system work?

Most septic tanks sit 10 to 25 feet from the house, usually under the lawn. The lid often has to be dug up to reach it.
Can I use drain cleaner on a slow or clogged drain?
It’s best not to. Chemical drain cleaners can damage pipes and kill the bacteria in your septic tank that break down solids. Call instead and we’ll clear the line with a drain snake.
